Can I share my story with you?

My name is Theresa Jordan and I am a successful network marketer. I am taking on the challenge of helping other network markers gain success as I have. I am here to mentor and coach others who desire the need to have a helping hand. I have had my share of struggles online and offline trying to make it in this industry. If I can help anyone in any way I am available to do just that.

I am from Chesapeake, VA and I graduated from Norfolk State University with a BS in Accounting. I have been married for five years and I have a wonderful daughter that is 15 years old and 2 wonderful step children that are a boy (15) and girl (11). My family is very supportive in everything that I do.

Let me tell you it has been a very long road. After graduation I knew that my whole life was going to change. I was always told that in order to make in this world, you have to go to college and that was the only way that you would be successful in this world. I did just that, I went to college, graduated and then it was time to find a job. I interviewed and interviewed and I was not hired. I was told that I lacked the experience that they were looking for. I was so disappointed. No one had given me the heads up that when you graduate. I finally got a job and let me tell it was still not what I thought it was going to be. I was still struggling. This was not the life that I had wanted for me. Not only was I struggling but I was left with a ton of student loans.

We sometimes settle for what we have. I did and I know I am not the only one who settles for things in life. I knew it had to be something out there better for me. I was never the person who liked to work for others any way. I always wanted to be a business owner but never pushed for it. I wanted to be my own boss because I wanted to make my own hours, to be in control, to come as I please and to decide what my pay should be. I just did not know how to go out there and how to achieve it.

I met a young lady that introduced me to a MLM business and I joined into that network marketing business. I joined into the business and did everything that my up line told me to do. I made my list of friends and family and did showcases for them to get them to join on my team of distributors or to get them to buy our products. Many of my friends and family did join with me. I put in a lot of time and energy trying to build my business. That did not matter to me because I was hungry for success and I would have done anything that would take me to the top. I put in the long hours and I did the showcases. I would showcase to any one that would listen to what I had to say. This industry can over whelm you. You put in long days trying to recruit people. You showcase to strangers trying to get them to join you. I was working very hard to show my team how to duplicate what I did and they were following my lead and were having success too. I didn’t have time from my family anymore and they were complaining. I wanted it all. To me, success is being able to spend precious time with my love ones and making a fortune at the same time.

I knew that there had to be another way so I turned to the internet. I was so amazed because there are so many entrepreneurs on the net. What was funny, when I first joined my company, I had never even heard of MLM or network marketing. I was so amazed. I had never heard of this before. I do know that the internet is our future. Every one now is online. Even the older generations have turned to the internet. My mother is 61 years old and she goes on the internet now and does banking, purchases and play games.

During my research, I learned that a lot of people were making a lot of money by networking on the internet. I was trying to figure out what I needed to do to get started. I was ready to conquer the internet. I could not generate one lead. I put myself on the 90 day challenge as I call it. I told myself, I am going to work hard for 90 days and if it does not work; then I will give it up. Guess what!!!! In 90 days, I was still struggling. I generated 6 leads and they still did not join my primary business. Wow, this was very challenging to me. I thought to myself, I am not stupid. If they could do it, then why can’t I. They are no better than me. So why am I not finding the success that they are. Then my thoughts were; if it was that easy then everyone on the internet would be having success. So I had to find out the secret to success.

Success was not coming to me. Yeah, I was still making a little money from my primary business but not to that I could quit my job and focus on my business full-time. I then purchased books to understand how I could generate leads. I also picked up a mentor along the way. I met this gentleman by going to his events and attending his seminars. I had read his book “From the Trash man, to the Cash Man”. This was a very powerful book and changed my outlook on the way that I operated my business. I also got on all of his webinars. What I realized was that in order to learn how to be successful online, I had to educate myself. That’s what all the top producers who are making it do. They pay thousands and thousands of dollars each year to gain more knowledge.

My mentor’s name is Myron Golden and he is a very successful internet marketer. If it had not been for him taking me up under his wing then I would not have the success that I do today. What has really touched me about him is that he takes his time and teaches other entrepreneurs how to be successful in network marketing. This industry is a Pay it Forward industry. He showed me the way now it’s my time to help others. No, everyone is not going to be successful in this industry. You have to have more drive than the average person.
